Everyone is sailing
On the stormy sea of life

I am just another sailor
Trying hard to weather

All the wind
All the rain
All the strife

I am just another captian
Alone at the helm

I am so tired fighting these waves
That continue to overwhelm

Trying hard not to slip

God knows, I don’t want to be

Just another captian
Going down with his ship

I keep searching for that lighthouse
To lead me safely back to the shore
Where I will finally be at peace forevermore

As the waves crash all around me
and the storms of life surround me

I feel so alone
As I cry out into the silence of the night-

Before I lose my faith I must fight the good fight-

With no reply I can’t help but wonder

Is my voice the only one that is heard
On the sea of words?
